Membership - Information

Welcome!

Dear Colleague,

As Vice President of Membership, it is my responsibility to encourage you to join the Planned Giving Group of Connecticut. However, as a colleague, I can tell you that my membership in PGGCT has been an essential component of my professional development.

Members of PGGCT regularly hear many of the best-known speakers and most respected members of our profession offer practical information that can be applied in our daily work. PGGCT is also the local forum for meeting colleagues from the planned giving community with whom you can compare notes and share experiences.

Your work doesn't have to be focused on planned giving for you to benefit from membership in PGGCT. PGGCT has approximately 250 members from across the Southern New England region representing a wide range of experience, from the novice to the expert, including fundraisers, financial advisors, lawyers, trust officers, executives of charitable organizations, consultants, and others. The diversity of our membership ensures interesting discussions that consider a wide array of viewpoints and perspectives.

Our regular programs are held four times during the year (September through May) on the second Thursday in January, March, May, and November. In addition, PGGCT presents an annual All-Day Conference. The conference includes sessions for those getting started in gift planning as well as advanced topics for those with more experience and is the highlight of the year.

Annual membership in PGGCT is only $160 and includes the regular meetings, lunches, and a discounted registration rate for the All-Day Conference. Members also receive special benefits, such as invitations to periodic programs, such as the virtual conferences presented by the National Committee for Planned Giving, and timely communications on matters that arise from time to time. And our new website is sure to become a valuable resource with special features available only for our members.

Feel free to contact me directly at (860) 545-2162 or cgarlic@harthosp.org with questions or just to talk about the benefits of membership in PGGCT.

Best wishes. I look forward to seeing you at the next meeting.

Sincerely,
Carol Garlick
Vice President for Membership
